Are dell computers that bad?
I want a computer for gaming and they have the presidents sale going on so I was wondering how bad the motherboard was for the XPS 8100. Do they really use inferior products compared to building your own? I tried building a computer on newegg but I couldn’t find a better deal then dell’s XPS 8100 deal.

Dell desktops have problems. But their service is good, so they can suck your money as much as they can.
The graphics card in XPS 8100 is quite useless and even the processor is only 4MB cache. I recommend customizing it and changing the processor to Core i5 750, but most importantly the graphics card has to be changed to ATI 5770, or else you cannot run any game in that 20″ monitor which is included.
The Deal is quite OK though. Go for it!
