I found a friend from college to graduate has been offered a job with a high salary. Must be depressed?

As a student of political science I am interested in working on …… public service, but that does not pay very well. My friend is a computer science.

Why be depressed? Your friend's salary will not change your life. Being a person with a degree in computer science myself, I know that working in the IT field is not all that paint, and I worked for some of the largest companies in the industry. There is more to life than money, being able to sleep at night is worth a lot. Stay true to yourself, be happy for his friend, and hope the work does not lead him / her a little nuts.
